How to Activate Qontak Commerce and Connect It to Desty

Qontak Commerce allows you to manage sales activities through WhatsApp. To start using Qontak Commerce, you must first activate the Commerce feature, then continue the onboarding process until you connect Commerce to Desty.

Below are the steps to activate Qontak Commerce and connect it to Desty.

Important
To use Qontak Commerce, subscribe to the Qontak Commerce add-on. Once the subscription is successful, the Commerce feature will be activated automatically. 

To connect Qontak Commerce to Desty, you must first complete several setup steps. The process flow is as follows:

A. Step 1: Create a New Catalog

  1. Go to Facebook Business Manager and open the Catalog section through the following link: 
    https://business.facebook.com/latest/settings/product_catalogs.

  2. Click “Create New Catalog”.


     

  3. The following pop-up will appear. Click “Lanjut”.

  4. Then select “Produk online”. Enter the catalog name (for example: New Catalog), then click “Berikutnya”. 

  5. Select “Add the Product Later”.

    This process will be completed on the Desty Store page. 

  6. Once complete, the catalog will be successfully created and displayed as follows:

B. Step 2: Select a Catalog in the WABA Account

  1. Go to WhatsApp Account through the following link :
    https://business.facebook.com/latest/settings/whatsapp_account 

  2. Scroll until you find the WhatsApp Accounts tab, then click one of the WhatsApp accounts and select “WhatsApp Manager”.

  3. Click the "Choose Catalog" button.
     

  4. Select the catalog name that you created earlier.

  5. The catalog will then be successfully connected to the WABA account and will appear on the following page.

C. Step 3: Assign Qontak Business ID as Partner

  1. Go to Settings > Data Sources > Catalogs.
  2. Click the catalog that you selected as the active catalog in WhatsApp Manager (Step 1).
  3. Click “Assign partner”
  4. Click “Business ID”
  5. Then, enter the Qontak Business ID: 497334871118677, enable full access “Mengelola semuanya”, then click “Tetapkan” to continue
  6. Your catalog access will then be successfully shared with Mekari Qontak
  7. You can view the partner name “Qontak.com” in the “Partners” tab.

D. Step 4: Registration Process to Obtain Catalog Permissions & Register with Desty 

  1. Log in to your Qontak account, then select the “Commerce” menu.

  2. Then click “Connect WhatsApp Business”.

    Make sure the WhatsApp number you want to use is already connected to your Qontak account.

  3. Then select the WhatsApp account for which you want to activate the catalog. On the Account details page, click “Enable catalog”.

  4. Once the activation process is complete, the Commerce catalog status will be Enabled and ready to use.

    You can enable or disable the toggle “Visible to your customers” to manage catalog visibility for customers. 

  5. Then click “Manage catalog”.

  6. You will then be redirected to the Commerce page. In the next step, you must set up your store with Desty. In the Store setup section, select Sign in to Desty to continue the process.  

  7. You will then be redirected to the Desty page to register an account. To learn more about registering and configuring your Desty Store, see the details here.
     

    Important
    When registering your Desty account, make sure you use a phone number different from the one previously used for your Qontak account.

  8. Once registration is complete, continue with the account binding process.

E. Step 5: Account Binding

If you already have a store on Desty, continue with the Account Binding process to connect your Desty store to your Qontak account by following these steps.

  1. Log in to your Qontak account, then select the “Commerce” menu.

  2. Then click “Start now”.

  3. Click “Sign in to Desty” to start the account binding process.   

  4. In the pop-up that appears, click “Lanjutkan dengan [nama store]”. 

  5. Then click “Konfirmasi autentikasi”.

  6. The store will then be successfully connected to Mekari Qontak. 

Important
Things to Note About Catalog Integration:
1. The Meta Catalog Permission process follows the same service/flow as Product Carousel. Make sure the account you use has access to Facebook Business Manager, Ads Account, WhatsApp Business Account (WABA), and other related accounts. Learn more here.

2. After purchasing the Qontak Commerce add-on subscription, two functions will be available in the WhatsApp Catalog section:
a. Display Catalog: Used to show or hide the catalog from the customer’s point of view (PoV).
b. Commerce Catalog: Indicates that the catalog can now be used for the WhatsApp Commerce – Desty feature. The status will change to Enable when the feature is ready to use. To manage the catalog, click “Commerce Catalog” to be redirected to the Commerce sidebar.

3. The catalog created during the Meta Catalog Permission process is not the catalog that will be used after binding with Desty. After the account is successfully bound to Desty, the system will create a new catalog. The catalog created during the Meta Catalog Permission stage is only required for Qontak to obtain access to the catalog. 

4. If you do not have a Desty Store account, use the phone number of the owner, supervisor, or account administrator when registering, not the phone number used for Qontak. This is because:
  -  Logging in to Desty uses an OTP, so the number used for registration must be able to receive the OTP.
  -  The withdrawal process from the Desty Wallet also requires an OTP sent to the registered number.
