The Campaign menu, or previously called the Broadcast menu, is one of the features on the Chat Panel that allows users to send messages to many people at once. This feature is also commonly known as broadcast messages. The Campaign menu is available to convey information to many recipients at once but still addressed personally. Not only that, the time needed to send messages to many contacts becomes shorter and easier.
Here's a glimpse of the Campaign (Broadcast) menu on Qontak Omnichannel:
Important
Starting from February 13, 2025, the Broadcast feature will be replaced by Campaign.
The following is a complete explanation of the features in the Campaign (Broadcast) menu in Omnichannel Qontak, including important information regarding the minimum WhatsApp balance required to run a campaign smoothly.
A. Campaign Menu Overview
-
Log in to your Qontak Omnichannel account.
-
Then, you will see the three Campaign menu features, namely WhatsApp, Recipient lists, and Templates.
No. Features Explanation 1. WhatsApp Setting up Recurring campaign. This feature aims to manage and differentiate the Campaigns that have been created. 2. Recipient lists Contains lists of potential message recipients. 3. Templates To edit and create a reply template for expired messages. -
WhatsApp feature, is a feature for you to combine templates and lists that are suitable for sending Campaign messages and viewing logs of broadcast messages sent. The Campaign feature uses WhatsApp channels consisting of One time campaign (single delivery) and Recurring campaign (periodic delivery).
Important
Because the Recurring Campaign feature is still in BETA testing and is only available to certain Organizations or CIDs, if your company is not included, the Campaigns page displayed will be the old Campaigns page, as shown below, and you can continue creating a Campaign by clicking "New campaign message" as follows. -
In the Recipient Lists feature, you can upload a List by clicking "Create Recipient List" or a list of contacts of your message recipients.
You can upload the List after the campaign message template has been approved.
-
Then, to send a Campaign message on WhatsApp, you need to submit a Message Template by clicking "Create template" and select Campaign template.
The message template content needs to be submitted to the WhatsApp API for review and processing for at least 1 x 24 hours. For more information on how to create a template, click here.
B. WhatsApp Minimum Balance for Campaign Delivery
To send a WhatsApp Campaign, you must have sufficient WhatsApp balance according to the type of Campaign you wish to send:
-
One time campaign: The balance must be at least 10% greater than the total WhatsApp balance.
-
Scheduled campaign: The balance must be at least 30% greater than the total WhatsApp balance.
Example:
If the cost of sending a Campaign to one contact is 500, and you want to send it to four contacts, the total balance required is: 4 x 500 = 2000.
Therefore, the minimum balance you must have is:
1. For a One-time campaign, the minimum balance is 2200 (2000 plus 10%).
2. For a Scheduled campaign, the minimum balance is 2600 (2000 plus 30%).
If your WhatsApp balance is less than this amount, the Campaign cannot be sent.
That is the overview of the Campaign menu on Omnichannel Qontak.
