Field Masking on the Customer Data Platform page functions to obscure (mask) important information in columns (fields) so that it is not fully displayed to certain users. The masking settings can be customized based on role levels, so only users with permissions can see sensitive data in full, such as phone numbers, identity numbers, or financial information.
