You can follow the procedure for applying for subdomain registration and creating a sender email below until the self-integration feature becomes available. Qontak will gradually release the self-integration feature to early November 2025.
To use the Email Campaign feature, you need to complete the following steps:
- Ensure you have a subdomain that is not already being used on another mail service, and that you have access to your Domain Manager.
The subdomain used for the Email Campaign feature should not be combined with other purposes. Therefore, it is recommended that you use a dedicated subdomain exclusively for sending campaigns via Qontak.
- In the Company Sub-domain field, enter the subdomain you want to use. Then, in the Email field, enter the sender email you want to create for sending campaigns.
Example:
Company subdomain: mail.mekari.com
Email: noreply@mail.mekari.com
*Make sure the information you enter in the Company Sub-domain and Email fields uses the same subdomain. If different, we will register the subdomain based on the 'Company Sub-domain' field.
Important
- The registered sender email is for outbound messaging only and cannot receive replies (incoming email).
- Tip: You may use noreply (e.g., noreply@mail.mekari.com) as the email username, or add information in your campaign content so customers know the correct email address to reply to. - Check the consent box below and click Register Now to submit your request. Providing this consent is mandatory for registration. By checking the box, your email address will be stored so that we can send you DNS record information, which you can then register in your Domain Manager.
The DNS Records information will be provided by the Qontak team via email within 1 business day (24 hours), after you submit the Company Sub-domain and Email details in the form above. Please check the email you used to log in when registering.
A. About Subdomains
A subdomain is the part of a domain that appears before the main domain and domain extension. For example, in mail.mekari.com, “mail” is the subdomain.
To register a subdomain, you first need to own a domain. Then, in the DNS Editor, fill in the Host/Name field with the subdomain name in the Name column when entering the DNS Records (MX, TXT, etc.). The DNS Record values will be provided by the Qontak team once you complete the registration form above.
B. Why do we need to set up DNS records?
Before registering an email sender address, domain owners need to register DNS records. These records are used to determine the email delivery destination, verify the sender's identity, and ensure secure email delivery. Without proper DNS records, emails may not be delivered correctly or may be marked as spam.
C. How to Register DNS Records
In addition to selling domains, several domain providers, such as GoDaddy, Hostinger (NiagaHoster), NameCheap, and others, offer Domain Manager access. Through the Domain Manager, you can:
-
Register subdomains.
-
Manage DNS records through the DNS Editor.
If your domain provider doesn't have a Domain Manager, you can use another hosting provider that provides access to manage DNS records. Below are some examples of DNS Editor displays from several domain providers.
A. cPanel
-
Log in to your cPanel account.
- Select "Zone Editor".
- Choose your domain name, then click "Manage".
- Click "+Add Record" and fill in the fields based on the records provided by Qontak.
The DNS record configuration for the subdomain is identified in the Name column, where you can directly enter the Host/Name containing your subdomain. You will receive DNS Record values from our team via email. You are required to register five (5) values into the Domain Manager. Example Host/Name values already include the subdomain “bd”.
- Repeat the steps until all records are added.
- Click "Save Record" to save each one individually, or Save All Records to save all at once.
B. CloudFlare
- Log in to your CloudFlare account.
- Select your domain.
- Click "DNS", then choose "Records".
- Click "+Add record" and fill in the fields based on the records provided by Qontak. The DNS record configuration for the subdomain is indicated in the Name field, where you can directly fill in the Host/Name with your subdomain.
You will receive DNS Record values from our team via email. You are required to register five (5) values into the Domain Manager. Example Host/Name values already include the subdomain “bd”.
- Repeat the steps until all records are added.

D. Subdomain Verification and Sender Email Creation
After completing DNS Record setup, please inform the Mekari Qontak team by replying to the previous email so that we can verify your subdomain.
This process may take up to 2 business days (2x24 hours) depending on DNS record propagation by your domain provider.
Once verification is successful, the sender email you submitted will be created in the system, and you can start using it to send email campaigns via Mekari Qontak.
Next, you may learn how to create Email Campaign, Recipient List, and Templates for Email Campaign in Mekari Qontak.
E. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
-
Why am I advised to use a dedicated subdomain (not the main domain) for email campaigns in Qontak?
The DNS setup for email campaigns requires an MX Record. Even though email campaigns are only used for sending emails (and cannot receive replies), an MX Record is still mandatory according to the requirements of our email service provider.
If the main domain is used for multiple email services, this may disrupt the smooth delivery of incoming emails. Therefore, we recommend using a dedicated subdomain that is not combined with other email services, to ensure stable email sending and receiving.
-
Do I need to follow the TTL (Time to Live) value provided by Qontak?
If your DNS editor already has a default TTL value, you can keep the existing configuration. However, if your DNS editor does not provide one, please use the value we provide: 3600.
-
Why did the verification process fail even though I added and/or updated the DNS Records according to the values provided by Qontak?
If you are certain that the values configured are exactly as provided by Qontak, please allow up to 2x24 hours before reattempting the verification. This delay may occur due to the DNS Record propagation process from your domain provider not being fully completed.
-
Why did the verification process fail even though I already added or updated the DNS Records with the values from Qontak?
Here are some possible reasons why the verification might fail:
- Incorrect DNS values – Ensure the values you entered are exactly the same as those provided by Qontak (without extra spaces, dots, or other characters).
- Incomplete DNS propagation – Even if the values are correct, DNS changes can take up to 2x24 hours to fully propagate across all servers.
- Domain provider caching – Some providers may cache DNS settings, causing updates not to be reflected immediately.
If the values you entered are correct, please wait up to 2x24 hours, then retry the verification process.
-
Why does the Host/Name value I enter in the DNS Editor appear duplicated?
Some domain providers automatically append the domain/subdomain name when you enter the Host/Name. If this happens, you need to adjust it to avoid duplication.
Example: In Amazon Route 53 or cPanel, the subdomain name is filled in automatically. So, if Qontak provides Host/Name values such as aliyundm.bd, dmtrace.bd, or dmarc.bd, you only need to enter aliyundm, dmtrace, or dmarc, because the “.bd” will automatically be added by the domain manager.
