To be able to create an Email campaign, you need to create a Recipient list or list of recipients of the Email Campaign that you will send. Learn the steps below.

Important
The Recipient List for Email Campaign will only appear to users who subscribe to the latest package from Mekari Qontak, which are: Broadcast, Service Suite, Sales Suite, or Qontak 360. See details of the package here.

  1. Log in to your Omnichannel account, then select the "Campaign" menu.
  2. Click the "Recipient lists" tab.
  3. Then click "Create recipient list" and select "Upload file".

    - The “Select contacts” option is currently available only for WhatsApp Campaigns.
    - You cannot import new recipient lists if a previous import process has not yet been completed.
  4. Fill in the name of the Recipient list in the following column.

  5. Then select the template data type. In this case, select "Email template" and determine the file format to be uploaded.
  6. Then in the template that has been provided, fill in the recipient's email address, full name, customer name, and company name in the spreadsheet column.

    Important
    1. Make sure the first column (recipient_email_address) and the second column (full_name) are not renamed. The system recognizes the file as an “Email” Recipient List based on these header names.
    2. The third column (customer_name) and the fourth column (company) are examples of custom fields. If you don’t need these fields, you can delete them. You may also add other information to be used as variable data when sending a campaign by filling in columns C and onward.
    3. Ensure all data in the columns you add is filled in completely. The recipient data import will fail if any value is left blank.
    4. If your Recipient List contains duplicate email addresses, the system will automatically use the first email entry as the valid recipient data, and the duplicate entries will not be imported.

  7. Then, re-upload the completed template by dragging the file into the area shown below, or click “Browse” to upload the file manually. After that, click “Import.”

    - Upload a file with a maximum size of 5 MB.
    - For WhatsApp campaigns, you can import a recipient list of up to 50,000 recipients in a single file upload.

    - For Email campaigns, you can import a recipient list with a maximum number based on your daily base email quota. For example, if your base quota at the time of upload is 4,000, you can only import up to 4,000 recipients in a single file upload.
    - The new limitation for Email Campaigns will take effect starting September 15, 2025, in line with the enforcement of the daily email sending quota
  8. A notification will then appear indicating that the recipient list is being uploaded. Once the upload is successful, the recipient list will appear on the following page under the “Email” channel category, according to the template data previously selected.

Deleting Recipient List

You can delete recipient list data if the uploaded data is incorrect or no longer relevant for use. Follow these steps.

  1. Click “Actions”, then select “Delete list” on the recipient list you want to remove.

  2. Click “Delete” to confirm the deletion of the recipient list.

  3. You can also delete data from the recipient list detail page. Click “Actions” on the list you wish to remove, then select “View details”.

  4. Next, click “Delete list” on the following page.

  5. Click “Delete” again to confirm the deletion of the recipient list.

  6. Once confirmed, the recipient list will be successfully deleted.
