Conversion API (CAPI) is a method used by Mekari Qontak to send conversion data from the Mekari Qontak server to the Meta server. With this method, customer activity data that occurs in Mekari Qontak can be forwarded to Meta without relying on the customer's browser.

Important
Currently, the Meta Conversion API (CAPI) feature is still in the Beta release stage and is only available to certain Organizations or CIDs. This feature is planned to be available to all clients by the end of October 2026.

When sending conversion data to Meta, Mekari Qontak can use the Conversion API as a server-to-server channel. Unlike Pixel, which sends data through the customer's browser, Conversion API sends data directly from the Mekari Qontak server to the Meta server.

In simple terms, Mekari Qontak acts as a source of conversion data that forwards the data to Meta through Conversion API.

Make sure the following requirements have been met before integrating Conversion API:
- Log in to Facebook using an account with administrator access to Business Manager.
- Your Business Manager has at least one Pixel.
- The Facebook Page, WABA, and Pixel are in the same Business Manager.
- Your WhatsApp number is active and connected to Mekari Qontak.

In the following guide, you will learn how to integrate Conversion API with Mekari Qontak to send conversion data to Meta.

A. How to Integrate Conversion API (CAPI)

  1. Log in to your Qontak account, then select the "Settings" menu.
  2. Select the "Integrations" submenu, then select the "Channel integration" tab.
  3. In the "Meta Conversion API Manager" section, click "Manage".
  4. Click "Add account".
  5. In the Meta authorization window that opens, log in using the Facebook account that has administrator access to your Business Manager.
  6. Select the Business Manager that you want to connect to Mekari Qontak, then click “Continue”.
  7. Next, click “Continue” again.
  8. Then select the pages that you want to allow Hub Qontak to access, then click “Continue”.
  9. Select the Pixel that you want to grant access to Mekari Qontak. You can select more than one Pixel. Then click “Continue”.

Pixel is an asset in Meta used to collect and record customer activity or conversion data from your business.

  10. Click “Continue” again.
  11. Approve the requested permissions to continue the integration process. Then click “Save”.
  12. The integration process is now complete. Click “Got it” to continue.
  13. You will be redirected back to Mekari Qontak. The Pixel you selected will be available for configuration.

B. Disconnecting and Reconnecting the Business Manager Integration

Things you need to know before disconnecting:

  • Event sending will stop. A use case that uses a Pixel from that Business Manager will no longer send events.
  • Historical data in Meta will remain stored. Events that were previously sent will not be deleted.
  • The use case configuration must be configured again after the connection is reconnected. Review the required configuration after the reconnection process is complete.

To disconnect, you can follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Qontak account, then select the “Settings” menu.
  2. Then select the Integrations tab, and click “Channel Integration”.
  3. Then, in the Meta conversion API manager section, click “Manage”.
  4. Then click the ‘three-dot’ icon, and select “Disconnect”.
