Meta Business Portfolio (formerly known as Meta Business Manager) is a feature that makes it easy for companies to collect and manage all business assets, such as FB Pages (FB Page), Ad Accounts, Instagram Accounts, and others, in one place.
A. The Role of Meta Business Portfolio
In the WhatsApp Business Platform ecosystem, Meta Business Portfolio primarily functions as a container or dedicated storage location for your WhatsApp Business Account (WABA).
B. Preparation Before Creating a Meta Business Portfolio
-
Check for an Existing Meta Business Portfolio:
If your company already has a Business Portfolio connected to a Facebook Page, Instagram, or ad account and other assets, use that account. This will make integration easier and centralize all your assets in one place.
Important
Avoid creating duplicate portfolios. First, confirm with the team or relevant parties in your organization that a Meta Business Portfolio has not already been created. Creating duplicate accounts is not recommended and may cause your business access to be restricted or blocked by Meta's system. -
Account Requirements:
You must sign in using a Facebook account that is at least 30 days old to create or access a Meta Business Portfolio so that it is not restricted by Meta.
- To create or access a Meta Business Portfolio, you need to use a personal Facebook account. This account serves as your identity for signing in (login) and managing access permissions, so it will not affect your profile, posts, or personal activity on Facebook.
- A Meta Business Portfolio can also be managed by multiple users with different (role)s, such as Admin or Employee. Each user must still use their own personal Facebook account to access the Meta Business Portfolio according to the permissions granted. Feature Limitations:
A newly created account or Meta Business Portfolio may not immediately have access to all Meta features. You can check the account status and applicable restrictions through Business Support Home.
