Starting October 1, 2026, Meta will change its deduction process and pricing. In this regard, Mekari Qontak will adjust to the policies established by Meta.
One of the applicable changes is the reintroduction of a per-message fee for service messages. Meta will once again charge a per-message fee for service messages of Rp 356.65 per message, effective October 1, 2026. For example, when an agent replies to an inbound message received through the Qontak Inbox, each agent reply will be charged Rp 356.65.
Meta is also introducing a monthly free tier, where each phone number will receive a monthly quota of 1,000 free service messages. The quota will be refreshed every month and cannot be accumulated (rolled over) to the following month.
Important
If the WhatsApp Balance is less than Rp0 (negative balance), the Agent cannot send messages through the Inbox and the bot cannot provide an auto-reply. However, if the WhatsApp Balance is Rp0, the Agent can still send messages through the Inbox and the chatbot can still provide an auto-reply, as long as usage remains within the free quota provided by Meta.
Before
Fees were charged per conversation, not per message sent or received.
A conversation is a series of 24-hour messages between you and the customer. A conversation is opened and charged when a message you send to the customer is delivered.
Available categories:

Template messages and replies within the free window for Click-to-WhatsApp (CTWA) will not be charged if the customer opens the ad through a mobile device running the WhatsApp Android or iOS app and the business responds within the 24-hour customer service window. The free window begins when the business sends the response and can last up to 7 days.
If the customer opens the ad through a desktop device, the chat is not eligible for the CTWA free window, so business-initiated messages will be charged according to the applicable terms. While the free window is active, Marketing, Utility, Authentication, and Service messages you send will not be charged by Meta.
