Important
Requirements Before Performing Integration
A. How to Create Ads That Directly Lead to WhatsApp
You can create ads in Meta Ads Manager that, when clicked, directly open a WhatsApp chat with your business.
Note that some features, metrics, and campaign types related to messaging are not available for ads or messages originating from or targeting Europe, Japan, and South Korea.
As long as you have a WhatsApp number connected to your Facebook Page or a number linked to your business portfolio, you can create Click-to-WhatsApp ads through Meta Ads Manager.
Manfaat kampanye Click to WhatsApp:
You can use this type of ad to:
Increase brand awareness

Generate leads
Boost sales
The steps to create the ad may vary depending on the ad objective you choose.
Before you start, make sure:
-
Have a WhatsApp Business account
Integrate it with the WhatsApp API. -
Connect WhatsApp to Facebook
Link your WhatsApp account to your business Facebook Page and ensure you have an Admin role on the Page, or connect the WhatsApp number to your business portfolio. -
Opportunity Score (if available)
If your account qualifies, Meta will show an Opportunity Score with tested recommendations to help improve ad performance. You can check it via the Account Overview menu.
Please note:Opportunity Score is not available for all ad accounts.
A high score does not guarantee ad success.
Ad performance still depends on many other factors.
B. Adding a WhatsApp Number to Your Business Portfolio
You can add a WhatsApp number to your business portfolio so it can be linked to your ad account or shared with partners working with your business. Like other business assets on Meta, you can also set access permissions for each WhatsApp number based on specific roles through Meta Business Suite.
Some metrics, ad campaign types, and organic messaging features are not available for businesses or ads targeting or originating from Europe, Japan, and South Korea.
Key Points to Know:
You can add more than one WhatsApp number to a single business portfolio.
If a WhatsApp number is already integrated with WhatsApp Business API, it will automatically connect to the business portfolio.
One WhatsApp number can only be linked to one business portfolio.
Before You Start:
Only users with full control can add a WhatsApp number to the business portfolio.
The same WhatsApp number can be linked to both a Facebook Page and a business portfolio.
You can also add the Facebook Page connected to the WhatsApp number to the business portfolio.
How to Link Multiple WhatsApp Numbers to a Business Portfolio:
Open Meta Business Suite and go to Settings.
Click Accounts.
Select WhatsApp Accounts.
Add the phone number from the WhatsApp Business app.
When creating a Click-to-WhatsApp ad, you can select one of the WhatsApp numbers from the dropdown menu.
