Mekari Qontak now provides a centralized notification feature that brings together all activities—from customer interactions across Omnichannel to business operations in CRM—into a single place. This ensures you stay up to date with important activities that require immediate action, such as mentions on deals, conversation assignments, ticket assignments, expense approval requests, and more.

Existing Qontak users no longer need to switch menus to the CRM to view notifications related to business operations (companies, deals, tickets, tasks, approvals, automated actions), then return to the Omnichannel menu to check for incoming chat notifications.

A. Notification Availability

Qontak displays notification information through several channels, including:

  • In-App Notification: Notifikasi yang tampil langsung di dalam interface aplikasi Qontak.
    1. Notifications that appear directly within the Qontak application interface.
On Qontak Web, this menu is located in the top-right corner with a Bell icon and is available on all Qontak pages, except launchpad.qontak.com.

    2. On Qontak Mobile, the notification list page is only available on Qontak CRM Mobile.
  • Browser Notification: Instant notifications that appear as pop-ups in the browser.
  • Mobile Push Notification: Notifications sent to the Qontak Chat Mobile and Qontak CRM Mobile applications, alongside other notifications on your mobile device.

    Important
Notifications related to the Inbox on the bell icon are delivered in real time on all pages of chat.qontak.com, as long as browser notifications are enabled. If you find the notification sound disruptive, you can disable the sound under the Notifications option.

D. Push Notifications and Browser Notifications

In addition to notification data that you can view in the Web and Mobile applications for up to 90 days for CRM notifications and 7 days for Omnichannel notifications, you will also receive instant notifications in the following forms:

  1. Web: Browser notification.
  2. Qontak Mobile Chat and Mobile CRM: Push notifications.

    Important
Incoming message notifications (or incoming chats) will only appear as Browser Notifications and Push Notifications. Incoming chat notifications will not be displayed or stored in the in-app bell notification on Qontak Web.

How it works:

  • If you use Qontak Chat Mobile, you will only receive push notifications related to chat activities (incoming messages, conversation assignments, conversation resolutions, and others).

  • If you use Qontak CRM Mobile, you will only receive push notifications related to CRM activities (mentions, reminders, updates, approvals).

  • To receive Push Notifications, make sure that notification settings for Qontak Chat and Qontak CRM are enabled on your mobile device.

  • For Browser Notifications, make sure you have enabled notification settings on your device for the browser you are using when logging in to Qontak.

  • You must also enable Notifications in the active browser tab that is currently opening the Qontak application, as shown below.

E. How Browser and Push Notifications Work When Logged in on Multiple Devices

You can access Qontak using the same login email on up to three (3) devices: a web browser, Android mobile, and iOS mobile. Below is the notification delivery workflow for multi-device usage based on notification categories.

Notifications Related to the Inbox Tab

  • If the user is not opening or not active on any Qontak Chat Web tab or Qontak Chat Mobile, the user will receive notifications.

  • If the user is currently opening or active on any Qontak Chat Web tab or Qontak Chat Mobile, no notifications will be delivered.

  • If the user is active only on Qontak Chat Web, the user will receive mobile push notifications.

  • If the user is active only on Qontak Chat Mobile, the user will receive browser notifications.

  • “Not opening or not active” refers to the following conditions:
    1. Mobile
    - The user is on the Qontak Chat menu, but the device screen is locked.
    - The user switches to another application, causing Qontak Chat to run in the background.
    2. Browser
    - The user opens the Qontak CRM page in another tab.
    - The user is on a non-Qontak page within the same browser.
    - The user is on the Qontak Chat Web page, but the device screen is locked.
    - The browser is minimized.

Notifications related to the “General” and “Approval” tabs

  • Push notifications will always be sent, regardless of whether the user is active or inactive on the Qontak Web CRM and Qontak CRM Mobile pages.
