In the existing system, the ‘Rotten time’ feature is available to identify deals that are stuck at a certain stage after a specified time limit. However, in fact, agents have found a solution to bypass this function by ‘intentionally’ moving deals to the previous stage and then immediately returning to the next stage, then they reset the ‘Rotten time’ counter. This manipulation makes the Rotten time feature ineffective.

In order to solve all of this, we provide the Restrict moving backward Deal stage feature, that comes in the form of a toggle and, when activated, prevents Deals from being pushed to a lower stage sequence. The explanation below will show you how to activate and set up restrictions on the activity of pushing Deals backward. Here are the steps.

This feature can only be accessed by Admin/Owner.

1. On your Qontak CRM account, go to the Properties menu.
2. Then select the “Deals” tab.
   
3. Then on one of the “Pipelines” click “Edit”.
   
4. Next, you will be directed to the following page. Check the toggle “Deal stage cannot move backwards” if you want to apply it.

   2. Then in the Pipeline list table, click the ‘Change Stage Order’ icon.

6. Then the following information pop-up will appear stating that the stage movement restriction on Deals will apply to all Deals, both existing and new Deals on the pipeline for which you have activated the Deals restriction. Click “Restrict” to continue.
   
7. Then, if you switch to the Deals menu, on the pipeline that has been restricted from moving, the following notification will appear. In this case, other roles cannot move Deals to a lower stage.
    
8. In addition, if you click on a Deal, the following information will appear, which also indicates that other roles cannot move Deals to a lower stage.
   
9. This restriction will also apply to Deals in Mobile Apps.
