In Mekari Qontak, you can create a Campaign Recipient List using contact or customer data that has been saved in the Customers menu. The resulting recipient lists data can be used as the recipient list for WhatsApp Campaign messages, for the Marketing and Utility categories.

- Make sure you have access to the Campaign menu to create a recipient list.
- You can create a recipient list from customer data with a maximum of 20,000 customers (the new Qontak dashboard that has been centralized between Omnichannel and CRM) and 50,000 customers (Qontak Omnichannel dashboard).

Starting July 1, 2026, the Select from customers feature in Recipient List supports selecting customers based on WhatsApp numbers as well as Business-Scoped User ID (BSUID). Previously, this feature only supported customers who have WhatsApp numbers.

The Business-Scoped User ID (BSUID) information is only used by the system for customer identification processes and is not displayed on the Qontak page. Conversely, you can see the customer's Username if your customer has reserved a username in the WhatsApp application.

Important
- Creating recipient data using BSUID can only be done through the “Select from customers” feature.
- If you create a Recipient List via manual Upload file, you must enter the WhatsApp phone number.
- BSUID cannot be used for sending Authentication templates.

Here are the steps to create recipient lists from customer data.

  1. Log in to your Qontak account.
  2. Go to the Campaign menu, then select Recipient lists.

  3. Then, click “Create recipient list”, then choose “Select from customers”.
  4. Next, you will see a list of customer names who have a Phone Number or Username

  5. Check the names of the customers you want to include as recipient lists data.

  6. Additionally, you can also filter by Username, contact name, phone number, and other fields in your contacts.
  7. Next, click “Add filter” and select the column name you want to filter.
  8. After selecting the column name, choose the filter condition according to your needs. The available options are:

    a. "Is": Checks if the value in the data is an exact match with the filter keyword.
    b. "Is not": Checks if the value in the data is not equal to the filter keyword.
    c. "Contains": Checks if the filter keyword contains the filter keyword as part of the text.
    d. "Does not contain": Checks if the filter keyword does not contain the filter keyword as part of the text.
    Example:
If you select the Contact name filter with the operator Is and enter the keyword "John Doe", the system will only display contacts that have the exact name John Doe. Contacts like John Doe Jr. or Johnny Doe will not be included in the filter results.

  9. Then enter the keyword you want in the available field. Adjust it with the filter you have chosen, and click “Add”.

    - While there is a recipient list with the Processing status, you cannot create a new recipient list.

  16. To see the details, click the Recipient List name or select “Action” > View Details.
  17. On the Recipient List detail page, you can see the main customer information, such as Username, Phone number, and Full name (no. 1, 2, 3).
